RALAN'S FLASH FICTION CONTEST
Just answer a question about the book (purchase necessary) and you can enter. Write to Ralan to get your question.
No entry fee, but purchase of the book is required in order to answer the question.
Stories can be any genre. Any theme. PG-rated. No gore for gore's sake. No graphic sexual content. No use of copyrighted universes (Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, etc.).
Word length: 1000 words, or less.
Reprints okay. Simulatainous submissions (submitted to other markets at the same time) are okay. You're free to submit your story elsewhere – even sell it anywhere else.
No multiple submissions, only one submission per author (or authors in the case of collaborations) permitted.
Each story will be stripped of author identification before being judged – solely on its merit as a story – by Ralan.
The winning story will be paid $50 and be published at Ralan's Spectravaganza.com web site along with all the winners of Ralan's Grabber/Clincher contests from 2003 to 2006.
After you've answered the question about the book, you can paste your entry into the body of an e-mail — no attachments — and send it to Ralan. Please use the electronic submission format found on the "Writing Help" page at Ralan.com.
Deadline: 29 February 2008.
Results and Date of Publication: 1 April 2008.
A minimum of twenty (20) entries must be entered or there can be no contest, and all entries will be released.
